What We Do
Cumberland River Community Development (CRCD) is a nonprofit organization working to build a stronger, more connected future for the Cumberland River area. Rooted in community leadership and resilience, we exist to make sure our people—not just our land—thrive.
Our Mission
.Our region is geographically cut off from the rest of the county and has been overlooked for far too long. CRCD is changing that. We advocate for access to clean city water, safe and affordable housing, and the preservation of vital institutions like Arlie Boggs Elementary School. We believe every family deserves the opportunity to live, learn, and grow in a community where their voice matters. Whether it’s bringing infrastructure up to standard, protecting our local school, or making sure no one is left behind, CRCD is here to fight for equity, dignity, and opportunity in the Cumberland River community. Together, we’re building the future our community deserves—right here at home.
